Daily/weekly fantasy football leagues are getting the most pressure nowadays but they are still a far cry from the minority of desirable games that fantasy football players love. Long before that, the majority of people who played fantasy football would register their own season-long fantasy football leagues and join their own public fantasy football leagues over the course of the season.

For those who want to take advantage of fantasy football’s unique features but don’t have enough people for a private delegated league or would prefer to play for higher stakes, there are several public fantasy football leagues that use these options. The 2015 public fantasy football leagues are listed below and come in a combination of entry fees/payments.

  • traditional tournaments (Available in Live Draft and Autodraft) – A head-to-head 10-team league featuring the most widely accepted positions and scoring system: 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 K.
  • PPR leagues – Live 10-team head-to-head league is similar to the traditional league but an additional RB/WR swing position has been added and the scoring system awards a point per reception and RB/WR TDs are reduced to 4 points each with bonuses awarded (1 or 2 extra points) for TDs are longer.
  • TD only tournaments – Head-to-head 10-team head-to-head matches are a huge departure from traditional fantasy leagues and harken back to the days of paper scoring when Commissioner made life easy on himself and only needed to score points for Touchdowns. Only TD scoring is what you’ll find here, so you won’t have to worry about drafting any foolish players. TD scores vary with the landing distance.
  • League average – The 10-team head-to-head live league is similar to the traditional league but an additional RB/WR swing position has been added and the scoring system matches the standard except for kicking ranges and defensive stats. The development in this league is that you will receive two decisions per week; One against your opponent in H2H and one against the league average (average starting XI points for that week). This type of league awards higher scoring teams than standard H2H.
  • Goodbye unions week extension – The 10-team head-to-head live league is similar to the traditional league but an additional RB/WR swing position has been added and the scoring system matches the standard except for kicking ranges and defensive stats. The twist in this league is that you will be able to select players in the week before they are in a bye and decide if you want their points for that week to also carry over into the bye week, thus locking in two weeks (good or bad).
  • Game changer leagues – The 10-team head-to-head live league is similar to the traditional league but an additional RB/WR swing position has been added and the scoring system matches the standard except for kicking ranges and defensive stats. The twist in this league is that you will be able to change players in the half. This helps if you have an injured or underperforming player. Of course, the first half is already locked and you’ll only be able to exchange the second half for another player’s half that’s currently open (either the first or second half).
  • Total tournament points – The 10-team Live Score League is similar to the traditional league but an additional RB/WR swing position has been added and the scoring system matches the standard except for kick ranges and defensive stats. The development in this league is that the standings are based on the total points accumulated over the course of the season by your starting line-up. This league really awards the highest scoring team. This league spans the entirety of 17 weeks and has no playoffs.
